Q: iTunes randomly splitting album without any changes?
Hi all,
Starting this morning, an album has gotten split into eight different albums of one track each. On the "recently added" and "all music" windows it shows up as one album, but on the file explorer frame on the left side of the screen they show up as eight albums of one track each.
I had not added or changed anything with the album when this happened, but here's what I have tried so far:
- The files and folders containing the album are not set to read-only.
- I have re-set the "artist," "album artist," "album," "artwork," "number of tracks," "year," "composer," etc fields - every common sorting field between the songs is identical.
- That said, I *CANNOT* change the "sorting" options, which are stuck on "mixed" for "artist," "album," "album artist," and "composer." If I try to set these differently (to something other than "mixed") they simply immediately reset back to "mixed."
This is driving me a little nuts as this album is supposed to flow seamlessly from one track to the other and they're all out of order sorted in a strange way.
Any thoughts?
