I spilled chocolate milk on my Macbook Air?

This afternoon, I was on my laptop while drinking chocolate milk and some of it happened to spill near/on the trackpad. I wiped it up immediately, but now I've noticed that the left side of the trackpad is kind of sticking. It still allows me to click and it makes a very dull clicking noise. I'm more of a tapper than a clicker, so this doesn't bother me much. But it's a little weird to not hear the clicking like I used to. Other than the trackpad, nothing else seems to be a problem. Will it stay this way? Or will there be more problems that will appear eventually? I'm really worried now after reading about how milk is one of the worst things to spill on your computer. But it wasn't a lot and I got it cleaned up right away..

I can think of worse things than milk.

Why not just ride it out and see what happens.

Liquid in the keyboard is cause for upper case replacement.

Trackpads on some models are easy to get to, and easy to remove if you want to clean around the edges.

check out iFixIt.com for your specific model. https://www.ifixit.com/
