iphone 5 back up

My iPhone 5 will not back up.

I had a message from that it had not backed up for six weeks. It said the the phone needs to be locked, on wifi and plugged in. This happens overnight, so I do not understand why the back up does not happens. There is definitely storage available and iCloud usage.

Any suggestions welcome.
