Q: How do I share my purchases through the Apple TV (1st gen) to my other shared devices?

I have purchased albums through the Apple TV with the understanding that it would be accessible through my other sharing devices. The music/movies/photos from my computer are showing up on the TV but when I try to access the new albums through iphone and mac, the purchases are not showing up. When I try to access the album through itunes on my mac, it shows "purchased" but won't allow me to play the full song and instead plays it as a preview!!! PLEASE HELP!!! Almost to the point of returning the device.....
