Jan 9, 2016 5:53 PM in response to Chris Ormsbyby morrispe,All of the Floyd albums I've saved to my Apple Music "My Music" library are still there but the album artwork for The Wall has changed to some greatest hits release even though the tracks seem to be intact.

Jan 9, 2016 10:41 PM in response to Chris Ormsbyby RyM55762,I'm seeing almost the entire discography, with the exception of "Wish You Were Here" deluxe version. It's quite disappointing not to have that, as Spotify does. Being that Pink Floyd is something I listen to everyday, I won't continue after the trial if they can't get it. Honestly they should top Spotify and get David Gilmour's live version of "Echoes" if they actually want my approval.

Jan 10, 2016 7:31 AM in response to RyM55762by Chris Ormsby,I used to have Dark Side of the Moon (Deluxe Edition). That one had an entire live recording of DSOTM from 1974. That's gone.
Wish You Were Here Deluxe Edition. That's gone.
The Discovery Box Set--that's gone too. Some of the songs that I used to have from other albums are now "deleted" and replaced with tracks from A Foot in the Door.
So to summarize, I definitely know that the deluxe DSOTM is gone. That one was great because of the live recording. I still have it in my library but when I try to play it, I get a dialog box that reads, "Looks like the album xxxx is unavailable."
The A Foot in the Door album that suddenly appeared: I neither like it nor want it. It's just a compilation of songs from other albums. I never downloaded it yet voila; there it now is in my library. I suspect that tracks from one or both of the "deluxe" albums was available on this album so they were replaced.
It's just really frustrating that Apple does this.

Jan 11, 2016 10:59 AM in response to Chris Ormsbyby CGrnt,★HelpfulI am seeing several of my albums/tracks becoming unavailable. This includes Pink Floyd and the Eagles (East of Eden). What is strange is that East of Eden is my own CD loaded into iTunes so presumably I am being penalised because the album is not available in iTunes Library and cannot therefore be matched. Interestingly, these albums are available in Spotify so I guess i won't go beyond my free trial with Apple unless something changes. Still Spotify and Sonas works very well.
What is really annoying is that a few days ago East of Eden was there ok.

Jan 11, 2016 11:00 AM in response to CGrntby Chris Ormsby,Is Apple apparently that smug that they just remove content and whatnot without telling subscribers?
-
Jan 11, 2016 11:10 AM in response to Chris Ormsbyby CGrnt,It seems they are. One day I am sitting with friends listening to "I dreamed there was no war" on the Eagles East of Eden album and the next day it is not available. A lot of the tracks have been replaced by Apple substitutions using earlier recordings. Another instance is Endless River by Floyd, which went the same way. If they do this there is no point in subscribing as there is no confidence that chosen albums/tracks will be there in the future - better to buy. But I will try Spotify first.
That said, even buying the CD does not guarantee it will be available via Apple Music!

Jan 11, 2016 11:14 AM in response to CGrntby Chris Ormsby,Spotify has a different set of issues. there is no silver bullet.
-
Jan 11, 2016 11:57 AM in response to Chris Ormsbyby CGrnt,Not sure what Spotify's issues are then? Mate of mine has uses it in conjunction with Sonas and is very pleased with it. Of course there is also Google - all I want is to be able to stream my own stuff to my Sonas kit and phone) and to have access to a huge music library. What i want is not difficult, but Apple seem intent on breaking it and nobody appears to know why!

Feb 19, 2016 6:58 AM in response to Chris Ormsbyby Alltogethermorris ,Hello.
I Noticed a few weeks ago that the Pink Floyd box set I had downloaded was gone and had been replaced by a bunch of other Floyd albums.
Now I see the box set is no longer available.
IT would be nice if Apple would let us know when they outright make changes to our music library's.
Apple can be so bloody Frustrating at times!

iCloudApps, Music, and other media are moved in and out of the Apple Library all of the time for contract, licensing, and other reasons. If you want to have something permanently, you have to purchase it and download it to your personal iTunes Library. Otherwise, if it is yanked for whatever reason, you will no longer have access to it. Since Apple Music is a streaming service, any music you are "borrowing" from the Apple Music Library, is by definition, subject to change.
Sorry, but that is the way it has always been.
Best of luck,
GB

Jun 8, 2016 7:01 AM in response to gail from maineby CGrnt,Owning it does not seem to help. I own the East of Eden CD and have loaded it to iTunes. Not all the tracks are available in Apple Music however...Why?
I did not buy into Apple Music to suffer this and certainly Apple do not make it clear this sort of ting happens :-(

Jun 8, 2016 6:00 PM in response to CGrntby gail from maine,Well, again, if you have East of Eden loaded into your iTunes Library, but you are using Apple Music exclusively, you are limited to what is available in the iTunes Music Library. If you include iTunes Match, then music that is in your library, would also be uploaded to the iCloud Music Library alongside the Apple Music Library music, so you would have access to both music which is in Apple's Library as well as music that is only in your Library:

Jun 9, 2016 6:52 AM in response to gail from maineby CGrnt,Below is an extract from Using Apple Music. The last paragraph says iTunes will upload to iCloud those songs which are not in Apple's music catalogue so as to make them available on all other devices. This seems to be at variance with your advice that Match is required.
Using Apple Music
Your Apple Music membership includes an iCloud Music Library, which allows you to enjoy your entire music library from all of your devices.
When you first join, Apple Music checks your music collection to see which of your songs are also in the Apple Music catalog. It does this by matching against your song’s details (such as name, artist, album). If we have your songs in our catalog, we make them available to access on all of your devices.
When Apple Music adds these matched songs to your iCloud Music Library, Apple Music doesn’t change or alter your original music files that reside in iTunes for Mac or PC or on your iOS devices from which they were added. We make these matched songs available to your other computers or devices in high quality 256 Kbps AAC, and they can be played on them only while your Apple Music membership is active.
In addition, iTunes will upload to your iCloud Music Library those songs that we can’t find in our catalog, to make them available to you on all of your other devices

Jun 9, 2016 8:48 AM in response to CGrntby gail from maine,You are correct - my misstatement. Not sure why the OP wouldn't be able to see the album if it is in their iTunes Library?
Cheers,
