After installing iTunes on Windows 10, it cannot be run, got a message "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 1114).

Any attempts to reinstall the application (also according to the all available instructions and even using Revo Uninstaller) has failed makes it work.User uploaded file

If somebody has any practice or idea how to fix the problem, please advice.

IF AFTER doing the complete un-installation and removal of all features, THEN Reinstall,

You may need to unpackage and install all Support files from the EXE seperately.

I found this actualy fixed my problem ( 2017 01 24 - Win10 64bit to add iTunes 12.5.5.5 )

On first execution after a clean install of iTunes, this error message:

*Apple Application Support was not found.*

*Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again.*

*Error 2*

Can't run iTunes. Already reboot, reinstall, blah blah blah. Windows 10.

Recommendations >

1. Download and install WinRAR.
2. Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe icon and choose "Open with WinRAR".
3. Once the EXE is opened in WinRAR, double-click AppleApplicationSupport.msi Install, or it will auto-load when the installer window is open choose "Repair".
4. Done! You can now run iTunes normally.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. When reinstalling right click on the downloaded installer and use Run as administrator.

Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.

Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

All components were installed, but after uninstalling and cleaning system registry, I got also a problem with installing iCloud. Thus, presently neither iCloud can be installed, nor iTunes able to run. All another components seems installed properly as the second run of their installers offer either repair or remove the application.

The error message for iCloud is "... unable to complete the installation. The installation package corrupt or damaged..." An attempt to install iCloud separately (iCloud64.msi) went to the same result.

Deleting file iAdCore.dll (a/p instruction) went to almost same error message while running iTunes, except of windows error 126 (1114 before deleting).

QTMovieWin.dll - not in the system.

.msi is not among the registry entries.

Attempted to uninstall/reinstall iTunes by different means 5 or 6 times (run the entire installation package and separate .msi installers), but the situation still the same and got even worst by unable to install iCloud.

Thus all suggested instructions and recommendations do not cover / improve the situation.

I am curious if this machine was updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I had something similar, but different. After the update from 7 to 10, iTunes worked fine. Then I made the mistake of upgrading to the latest iTunes. The update failed in the same manner as yours is failing now. I tracked it down to a security problem on files in Windows\System32, but alas, I could not get past it, even after explicitly adding permissions on the specific files. Uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling my older version failed as well. Needless to say, this raised my blood pressure quite a bit.

I finally bit the bullet and did a complete format and fresh install, not an update, of Windows 10. iTunes installed and functioned. Of course I am a wee bit paranoid of trying any updates, but iTunes definitely is not tested very well in the Windows 10 environment. Good luck.
