How does reminders notify me?
How does "reminders" work...Only through calendars, or is it a separate application. How does it "remind me"??

It is a separate application. It uses Notifications -- puts a notification at the upper right of the screen. You can add a test reminder and set it for a minute or two from now to see how it works. Click the i in a circle after you type a word like "test" into a reminder line to set the date/time.
