If you are not receiving SMS text messages from your bank, take a look at the troubleshooting steps in this article. Make sure your bank's contact information is in your Contact's app and it is not on the blocked list. Click on the link below for complete details. I've highlighted a few key points for you.
If you can‘t send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Go to Settings > Messages. Check that the type of message that you're trying to send is turned on (iMessage, SMS, MMS, or Group messaging):
- Make sure that you're using the right phone number or email address for the contact.
- Go to Settings > Messages > Blocked and make sure that the contact isn't on your block list.
Restart your device and check for updates
- Restart your device.
- Check for a carrier settings update.
- Check for an iOS software update.
Take care,
- Go to Settings > Messages. Check that the type of message that you're trying to send is turned on (iMessage, SMS, MMS, or Group messaging):

Jan 11, 2016 9:02 AM in response to judysingsby anil54,TThanks and really appreciate the quick reply. I'd already gone through and unblocked the other party as well as re-starting my iPhone. Unfortunately I'm still unable to receive the SMS. Are you or others aware of any other settings that need adjusting on the phone To allow me to receive the SMS? on Android phone no such problem and SMS received fine.

If you continue to have issues with your SMS messages from your bank, I would suggest talking to the technical support for your bank as this sounds like something to do with security on their website. The outcome of that conversation may provide some information that our technical advisors can use when they work with you. Click here to initiate that support if needed.
Take care,
