I let my 6 year old use my iPad mini and when I went to use it the next the Safari browser was gone.
I thought since Safari is a native app to the machine it could not be deleted, yet it's gone.
I went to app store to try and find it to download another one, it's not there.
Where did it go and how do I get it back?
iMac, iOS 9.0.1, updated to 10.10.5
It's possible he set the restrictions and turned safari off. if he did then I hope he remembers the restrictions code he set. because that's how to get it back.

Is it possible that he simply moved it somewhere? Dragged it into a folder or tucked it onto a back menu page?
Check settings>general>restrictions> allow> safari should be on.

Thanks to both of you. I think I must have turned Safari off because my kids were getting into the browser and messing up my bookmarks and etc. I forgot I turned it off, but by doing so I didn't realize it would make the icon disappear.

You are welcome. When an app is not allowed through restrictions the icon will disappear. The exception is only disabling in-app purchases keeps the App Store icon on the home screen.
