Q: iSight Camera Replacement Program
Hi,
My iphone 6 plus is eligible for the iSight Camera Replacement Program. However, when i try to give the phone to the reseller - Saprk in this case - who sold me the phone, they said there is a crack on the phone screen, so I have to repair the crack before submit it to the program. Otherwise Apple won't accept it, is that true?
If it is true, can I just find some third party phone shop to repair it? Or I have to find "Apple authorized shop" to repair it? I am a bit worry about that Spark/Apple might say the phone screen is repaired by an unauthorized shop, therefore they won't accept it for iSight Camera Replacement Program.
Thank you

It is usually Apple's policy that the phone must be in prime operating condition and essentially intact before they do any "recalled" warranty work as there could be other problems with the phone that could be exacerbated by this secondary problem when an attempt is made to fix the original problem.

Bad idea. If you do that then you have essentially voided the warranty and Apple is under no obligation to honor the warranty and thus fix the camera.

Correct. But in Qatar, the phone company IS the authorized service provider. I might be mistaken, but check in the Qatar support section of the Apple site to confirm.
