Q: iMovie export rendering error 60. what does this mean?

I'm using iMovie for the 1st time(the newest version 10.1)

I've made a 2 hr 20 mins video in iMovie with music added but when I try exporting it to my desktop it keeps failing after 10 mins with a 'video rendering error 60' comment.

I'm using a new Macbook pro(running Yosemite 10.10.5) and I have 100G of video clips on the hard drive(which I moved out of the desktop in case that was the issue). But each time I try to export it it fails with the same error.

Any ideas?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

I have the same problem (rendering error 60) whenever my film is longer than about one hour. It happens in the same way on two different iMacs (including a new one) and is independent of the resolution of the film. I have not found any other solution than cutting the film into smaller pieces and combine them afterwards.

I would be very happy to hear about a real solution.

(El Capitan V 10.11.2 and imovie 10.1, but it happened also on earlier versions)

I have noticed that iMovie  was working in background to my clips to stabilize them... I have uncheck the feature and the export worked just fine. Maybe the error pop up because iMovie is still working on the project at the time the export.
