Jan 11, 2016 9:00 AM in response to tbbfiddlerby Loner T,★HelpfulCreating a USB by modifying Info.plist does not work? There is a reason it is missing to begin with, which is that your specific model, with a built-in Optical drive, needs to use a physical DVD. Can you burn a DVD from the ISO?
Be aware that a 2008 MP has no Apple-supported W10 drivers. Apple has list of Macs it officially supports at Use Windows 10 on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support .

Jan 11, 2016 9:06 AM in response to Loner Tby tbbfiddler,Thanks Loner T,
Is there any way to install Windows 10, or any Windows version for use with a 2008 MP?
I don't mind using a different Windows version, but obviously I'm stuck with this machine.
I originally got into the plist stuff because there was no way offered by El Capitan BCA to do any kind of Windows install on it. It did not offer anyway way to create an install disk, optical OR USB flash.
Do you have any advice on how to work my way back out of this and into some sort of Windows install?
Thanks, T Bruce

Jan 11, 2016 9:58 AM in response to tbbfiddlerby Loner T,You can get the W7 ISO from Microsoft, if they still sell it. Also, look on Amazon, for a Retail W7 DVD.
