Videos from my canon 700d/T5i can't be seen in imovie on my iPad pro. How to fix this?

I have an iPad pro and want to edit videos that I shoot on my Canon 700D / T5i. Canon video format details are given below.

I have a windows pc and I transferred the videos to iPad via iTunes and can play them in the 'Videos' app; but I can't see those videos in iMovie at all. I have tried removing the audio from video, converted the video to mp4 ans so on but iMovie does not show those videos.

What should I do so that I can edit these videos in iMovie?

Please help!

regards,

Mandar

Hi Mandar,
I understand that you would like to import the videos that you have taken from your camera and put them in iMovie on your iPad Pro. That is something that I can help you out with.
iMovie can get movies from 5 different places; Photos, AirDrop, iTunes, iCloud Drive and from recording directly from your iPad. If you are wanting to sync them, navigate to iTunes, your iPhone and in the App tab you should see an option for File Sharing. Then it would be a matter of selecting the movies to add them there. Keep in mind that this will double up the storage space because you have them synced to the Videos app. Take a look at the links below for more details.

Thanks norm123 for your reply but unfortunately it does not yet solve my problem.

I already have imported the video from my PC (not mac) to iMovie using the iTunes. The problem is that I do not see it in the iMovie on ipad when i try to create a movie using the videos that are stored on iPad. I do see all the videos that i shot with iPad itself but not the copied ones.

I have copied (synced ) the same video on ipad in the Movies app and can see and play that from Home videos using the "Videos" app.

BUT, iMovie does not list that for use in creating a movie.

Let me know if this gives you more info and if you can guide me to the solution.
