Thank you. I have just started the download, so fingers crossed. I did try downloading an app called Omniweb which was recommended to me, from a macupdate site, and ended up with two viruses, hense my question. best wishes.
Some mac update sites have begun including malware or adware in their downloads. Try to avoid all of those sites and only use the actual developer's site since you can't use the app store.
