epson wf 3520, 3 in 1 printer scanner not working

Hi

Here we go again, I have an epson wf3520 3 in 1 printer which has stopped talking to my iMac, sometimes it will print but I need the scanner to work.

I've uninstalled etc and have to add it via IP address just to get it to connect, I've downloaded what I hope is the latest drivers and I'm running ox yosemite 10.10.5

I did ask about this about a year ago and have tried all that was suggested the last time but it hasn't worked this time

I don't know what you have tried before so I suggest the basics using a cable connection and not wifi:

1 - System Preferences > Printers; right click in the printers list and select Reset printing system

2 - Download the most current drivers for both scanner and printer - from Epson: download page

3 - connect the printer using an USB cable or an ethernet cable

4 - install the drivers and test
