Q: time machine cannot connect to synology diskstation again

I already posted something on this last year.  I had a quota issue that stopped time machine backup upto DS14 play .  Corrected by reinitialising using a new userid on the diskstation and unlimited Quota.  It worked fine for 2 months.  Now from Friday 9th No backups.  Latest updates on El Cpitain and Synology.  So what on earth is wrong now ! Any ideas gratefully received,  so far I have reset the username password on the diskstation. I can see it on the network it logs in with finder automatically and I can show the package contents of the backup,  I can stream other files to and from the diskstation.  time machine gives the usual useless message. "The network backup disk could not be accessed because there was a problem with the network username or password. You may need to re-select the backup disk and enter the correct username and password.  Latest successful backup: 9 January 2016"

So thus far I reset the password again and tried to reselect the disk and I get the error shown below with keychain  - Seems the usual undecipherable keychain message  please help !

I fixed this myself.  I removed the synology backup drive from time machine.  Then switched off TM and closed exited time machine and restarted.  then back into time machine ,  selected the synology drive put in the password again for the same Id I used before,m  attached and selected the backup volume same as before.  It took an hour or so to prepare the backup and then started to backup and voila its backed upto the original volume/sparse bundle and now entering time machine shows all my backups from the last complete failure (due to running out of quota see other post) -e IE all my old backups for 2 months.  In short no idea why this was a problem,  a good deal of time wasted to fix the issue but at least im back where I was 2 weeks ago.  Id guess a change in the synology firmware and updates to El Capt have messed up the settings but who knows.
