Jan 11, 2016 10:02 AM in response to Lloyd Schnuckby lllaass,★HelpfulThat monitor has dual-link DVI input.
For video cards with a mini displayport you need an expensive ($99) mini displayport<dual-link DVI adopter.
A card with a dual-link DVI output will work

Jan 11, 2016 11:09 AM in response to lllaassby Grant Bennet-Alder,★HelpfulA properly-functioning 4870 works fine from its Dual-Link DVI output, PROVIDED, you use a Dual-Link DVI cable. I have one card (out of the three I bought new) where the DVI output has failed, but the others (including VGA from a DVI-I adapter) still work.
All Dual-Link DVI cables have all pins in the grid present, but Single-Link DVI cables may not have the center columns, or may have the pins but not connected end-to-end.

Jan 11, 2016 11:12 AM in response to Grant Bennet-Alderby Lloyd Schnuck,Have a minidisplay port and adapter as well as the x2 card with two DVI connectors and both monitors will display, one at 2560 and the second will max at 1280, does this mean this is a Single-Link DVI cable since 1280 is the best #2 will display?
would like to have both at 2560,

DesktopsThe adapter to squeeze Dual-Link DVI out of a Mini DisplayPort is non-trivial, requires a USB pigtail for additional power, and runs about US$100.
