imovie 10.1 using Facetime camera video is GONE!!!

Please help ASAP

Took Video of an interview using the facetime camera. I tried it out before and it saved and worked fine. The interview was about 10 minutes. I started and stopped using the red button. After I hit stop, I closed my laptop and now it is nowhere to be found. I replicated the process several times since and it worked. Any suggestions? Is it lost forever? Please help. Thanks
