iphone 6 speaker/microphone after ios 9 update

I finally updated my iphone to ios 9 the other day, and since then I have not been able to make phone calls. When on speakerphone, I can hear the other person but they cannot hear me. When on normal, neither of us can hear, so it seems to be the microphone and normal speaker headset that are not working. There is no physical damage to the phone, I have had it in a case since I got it. I have tried restarting it several times and updated to ios 9.2 hoping it was a glitch that this update would fix, but it still is not working. Has anyone had this issue and know what the cause is and/or how to fix it? Any help is much appreciated!
