Q: Will doing a "fresh" install on a power Mac G5 (leopard) stop fans running at full speed after the power supply was replaced???

I Have the ASD disk but don't have an original mouse so can't start the tests grrrr, keyboard can't get me there (original)

Not that I know I'll try and yes just a cheap wireless one, I got the tower 2nd hand for £100 thought it would be worth sorting out.

Got a cheap mouse and pluged it dintnt work until I plugged it into the keyboard usb, calibrating as we speak then fresh Mac OS X on Friday, the "about this Mac " say it's duel core 2.3ghz 4gb ram, i also got an airport card with it, you rekon it's still a decent tower to use for home studio use??

Yey silence, worked bang on, running all test just to check ram etc, once fresh os is in should be good :-) thanks for the input
