Replaced power supply on a G5 the fans now run at full speed tried all the usual resets from various posts, the Mac needs a fresh install anyway, just wondered if that will solve the fan issue too?
Not likely that a Re-0Install will help, you need to calibrate the fans with some version of ASD, if you need more info you can contact me on my site.

Hmmm, never tried it without a Mouse, but Tab & arrow keys & such don't work?
Is the mouse you have wireless?
Not that I know I'll try and yes just a cheap wireless one, I got the tower 2nd hand for £100 thought it would be worth sorting out.
No kind of USB mouse around?

Got a cheap mouse and pluged it dintnt work until I plugged it into the keyboard usb, calibrating as we speak then fresh Mac OS X on Friday, the "about this Mac " say it's duel core 2.3ghz 4gb ram, i also got an airport card with it, you rekon it's still a decent tower to use for home studio use??
My Quad G5 still serves me great, actually more useful than my Mac Pro/12 core//3.46Ghz/32GB., due to useful SW not available or affordable anymore.
