My phone has been recently acting up and all my contacts have disappeared. I store all my contacts using iCloud and have done all troubleshooting techniques given by Apple. I even restored my phone to a previous version that has been saved on my computer. At first (and this has occurred numerous times) my contacts have reappeared, then I refresh my contacts and all of a sudden they disappear. Any help would be appreciated.

I see no contacts on icloud.com except for the contacts I recreated recently. I'm assuming this means that icloud had not previously stored any of my contacts up until yesterday? But how does my original contacts list occasionally reappear (when I turn off/on contacts from my icloud settings via my iphone or when I restored my phone to a previous version) then disappear? On a side note, it appears that my calendar is gone as well.
It's difficult to know whether the contacts that you had previously were ever in the cloud or not. Are you saying they re-appear if you turn iCloud contact syncing off on your phone.
Yes, they re-appear when I turn syncing off then disappear a short time after. It does the same when I turn on syncing. I also don't understand why my contacts re-appeared and disappeared from my phone when I restored it to a previous state. Surely if the data was stored on my phone it wouldn't disappear suddenly unless it is being hidden some how (I did check to make sure iCloud was ticked under groups).
