Q: Problems with different email adresses and different Apple IDs
Hi, I have some trouble with various Apple IDs and the email adresses connected to them, and I hope someone can help me in what to do.
First a overview over my Apple IDs
******@me.com - this is my general iCloud account (backup, iMessage, Facetime etc.).
******@losmail.no - my iTunes/App Store account (purchasing and downloading music, app, etc.)
******@me.com: I have no problem logging onto this account (appleid.apple.com, iCloud.com, etc. etc.)
******@losmail.no: I have no problem logging into this account in iTunes/App Store. I can, however, not log onto appleid.apple.com with this account because it asks that I verify the email address. However, this e-mail address is using an email service that is not longer operating, so I can not verify it. Because it is a closed e-mail service I want to change the Apple ID into my @gmail.com account.
I believe, however, that the @gmail.com account once was connected to @losmail.no account because I get receipts from purchases etc. from my @losmail.no account sent to ****@gmail.com. These receipts also says "Apple ID: ****** @gmail.com". When I log into the account I, however, use ******@losmail.no. However, a I said, I want to log in using *****@gmail.com.
What is strange is that in iTunes / App Store I can login with ******@gmail.com. However, this is not the same account as ****@losmail.no, and previous purchases / reviews etc. are not available. It's strange because of what the receipts says (ref. over).
Another ting that indicates that the Apple ID where I use ******@losmail.no once was connected to ******@gmail.com, is what happens when I try to login with ******@gmail.com at appleid.apple.com. I then get a message saying that the email address must be verified. I then write the code sent to *****@gmaiI.com, but it then says that this email address already is being used by another Apple ID, so it cannot be verified.
So I guess my question is basically how I can change the Apple ID from ******@losmail.no to ******@gmail.com when I cannot log in to the losmail-account, but the appleid.apple.com tells me I have to verify this email address.
Best regards,
Philip

Hi phillla,
Thanks for all the details with your accounts.
Having multiple Apple IDs with multiple emails all mixed together can be challenging. If an email is used with another Apple ID for example, that email can't be used to create a new Apple ID or rename an old one.
Parsing what you seem to have however…
Your purchases are with your *@losmail.no Apple ID but the emails for that go to your *@gmail.com email address.
That says *@gmail.com is the primary email address for your Apple ID *@losmail.no.
That you can log into iTunes or the manage your Apple ID page with *@gmail.com says that is an Apple ID on its own. As an email address can only be verified to one Apple ID, that means it must be verified with your *@losmail.no Apple ID and can't be verified with *@gmail.com.
You state you can not log onto appleid.apple.com with *@losmail.no as you need to verify the email address. Do you have a rescue email attached to that ID? That is the email that would be used to recover it. If you didn't receive your verification or reset email - Apple Support
Bottom line, as you want to change your primary but outdated Apple ID *@losmail.no to *@gmail.com, you would first need to rename *@gmail.com to something else and remove that email from all other Apple IDs as well. Then follow the above link to get control of and access to *@losmail.no so you can rename it.
Best regards.
