Jan 12, 2016 9:04 AM in response to sranas01by ChrisJ4203,Restore the device to factory and test. Make your backup first. However, I've not seen a phone fail to make a call due to a lack of storage space, since storage space has nothing to do with making a call.

How do you know that for sure, when making a phone call has nothing to with available storage?

Wow... do you think it might have been helpful to mention that up front?
Since you've made up your mind that the problem is that it's out of space, just plug it into iTunes and restore it as a new device. Problem solved.
