Change system date in verbose mode?

How can I change the system date by using verbose or single user mode?

My newly installed OSX server (on a Mac Mini) won't boot. I can see in verbose mode that the date is set to Dec 2000, so I figured if I change that it should boot.

Any ideas?

You can't change it via verbose mode, as the name implies it only "says" what the computer is currently doing on the boot.

To change it via single user you could use: https://bensmann.no/changing-system-date-from-terminal-os-x-recovery/

Also, try to see if you can boot to recovery mode (cmd+r) and change it from there
