If you backed up your old phone using iTunes on your Mac, connect your new phone to the same Mac and run iTunes. Select your new iPhone in iTunes and select Restore.
1. Be sure your new iPhone has the latest version of the iOS. If you need to update the iOS go ahead and do that then go back to iTunes and restore the previous backup.
2. Be sure iTunes on your Mac is the latest version.

Jan 12, 2016 12:28 PM in response to uesowflyerby LACAllen,I think this shows that those backup are encrypted. You'll need the password that was used to encrypt the backup.

did you look at the link I provided on how to restore your new phone from your backup?
You can't view the iTunes backup, you would need to restore your new device to that backup.

it is a document about backups linked to documents about restoring. You were asking the OP if they looked at your linked document. I can see why they may not have, given the appearance of the link and the page it takes you to. My apologies if I've offended you or caused you harm.
