Shared album space usage

Hi guys!

So I have what I thought was a simple question. I have googled and googled, but the answer is hard to find.

So user A creates a shared photo album and shares it with user B. User B has an iOS 9 device.

User A uploads 10Mb worth of photos to the shared album. How much space is used up on user B's iOS device?

User B then takes a couple of pictures that is stored in the camera roll on the iOS device, using 10Mb of space. User B then adds those pictures to the shared album and deletes the pictures from the camera roll and the folder "deleted". How much space is returned to user B's iOS device?

Every photo in a shared album is not only stored in iCloud, but also locally on the device. But the versions on the device will be reduced in size, if the original images are large.

The longest side of the photos in a shared album will have only 2048 pixels, roughly half the pixelsize of a standard iPhone photo.

Which photo and video formats and sizes does iCloud Photo Sharing support?

iCloud Photo Sharing supports JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and most RAW photo formats. When shared, photos taken with standard point-and-shoot cameras, SLR cameras, or iOS devices will have up to 2048 pixels on the long edge. Panoramic photos can be up to 5400 pixels wide.

iCloud Photo Sharing supports both MP4 and QuickTime video file types, and H.264 and MPEG-4 Video file formats. Videos can be up to 5 minutes in length and are delivered at up to 720p resolution.

How much storage a photo will need in a shared album will depend on the original pixel size and the amount of detail in the photo.

I've read that too. So I will definitely save originals somewhere else. But it doesn't really answer my question(s).

Having a shared album, does that use space on all the devices? I.e if user A uploads a photo in a shared album that user A has created, and it syncs to user B's device, does it use space on user B's device too? If so, same amount as on user A's?

Now, specifying the longest side of a photo being 2048 pixels isn't really enough. In what aspect ratio? Or does the shared album keep the aspect ration of the original picture?
