I am currently using OS 10.7.5, with Safari 6.1.6. Will I lose any of my Office.mac 2008 or any of my AOL stuff by upgrading both Mac and Safari? Thanks

I am currently using an I-Mac, with OS 10.7.5, and Safari 6.1.6. Will I lose any of my old Office for Mac 2008 (Word, etc), or AOL capabilities by upgrading to the most recent versions of OS and Safari? Thanks for any input.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5), Safari 6.1.6

I don't see why. I have Office 2008 on my computer as well, and I've had no problems using it in El Capitan. Make a full Time Machine backup of your system to an external hard drive however, just in case. As for the AOL stuff, you mean the AOL website, right? I can't imagine you'd have problems accessing the AOL website after you upgrade.

I can also confirm that Office 2008 works fine under El Capitan. However, starting about OS 10.9 Mavericks, I had to do a little workabout to get Entourage to launch. It had always been in the Dock but, after installing OS 10.9, Enourage would not launch from the Dock. I made an alias of the Entourage app and placed it on the Desktop and now Entourage opens fine with a double-click.
