Q: We are new to Apple IPadmini world.  It was setup for us incorrectly. Spouse is currently primary on Mail, ICloud, Safari

Hi-  The good soul who set up the Mini for us got the IDs/Passwords mixed up.  I will be the primary user, but my spouse's name & IDs was entered first.  How do I edit those listings.  She'll be using the device much less often than I.

Also, my email account, which worked on day 1, is now listed incorrectly as inactive.  Today is day 3 of ownership.Tried deleting & re-entering, but it was all rejected.

iPad, iOS 9.0.2, It's our 1st Device. A lot to learn

    This should help: http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/

Just so you know the iPad is not a multiuser device so there is no primary/secondary user setup.

Thanks Doggie. That site helped, as did your explanation.  We are making progress. Now, I have successfully SignedOut of my spouse's ICloud account, deleting it. (Nothing was lost as nothing had been entered). I then signed out of the IPad & turned it back on.  I went to ICloud to establish my ID & PW. My Apple ID (my AOL address) works fine elsewhere on the device, but It was not accepted by ICloud...tried over & over.  Spelling was checked for accuracy each time, as well as proper upper/lower case.  What is happening?  2 days ago, I was informed  by email (viewed on my computer) that I was officially registered with Apple ID & PW on ICloud.  I'm not interested at this time in setting up an ICloud email account.  Can I just avoid that sign in box?

Short answer is yes. You can avoid signing in to iCloud. You will not benefit from any of it's services, but you do not have to be signed in.

Your Apple ID is the same as your iCloud ID. The passwords are the same as well. Some get caught up on the upper case letter in their password.

Since iPads and computers in general do not negotiate on passwords, you must get it "right" If you can sign in to the iTunes and App store, FaceTime and iMessage, you should be able to use the use the same credentials for iCloud.
