Q: Syncing

Itunes only gives the option to sync with wifi but i do not want to sync with wifi i want to sync with the wire like i used to.

    Sorry, but where are you seeing that as the only option?

     

    This is what you should see under "Options":

    no i mean when i go on my phone in itunes and click music it shows, "icloud music library is on". I do not want it to show this, i want the old school sync screen

    OK, so you have iCloud Music Library turned on for one of two reasons:

     

    -     Either you use iTunes Match or

    -     You are using Apple Music

     

    Both systems use iCloud Music Library to store music that you have either "Matched" to iTunes via iTunes Match, or which you are "Streaming" to your device via Apple Music.

    If you are using iCloud Music Library on your device, you can turn it off under Settings>Music - you should see an option for iCloud Music Library there.

     

    I do not subscribe to either Match or Apple Music, so not sure if simply turning off iCloud Music Library on your device would then allow you to sync your music normally, but I would give it a try.

     

    In the mean time, you may want to contact Apple Support about cancelling your subscription to Apple Music if that is what you have subscribed to. I don't think that iTunes Match interferes with the ability to sync normally since it is not a Streaming Music service, however, Apple Music definitely is, and trying to mix streaming with syncing just doesn't work....
