Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!
From your post, it sounds like you may have two separate issues with Maps on your iPhone. We’re glad you visited the Apple Support Community; we’re here to help!
First, I am not sure if there is an incorrect address listed on your contact card or if the location is correct, but Maps is finding an incorrect location. If the address is incorrect on your contact card and you need to update it to the correct address, please use the information in the following article to do so.
In iCloud Contacts, after you create a contact, you can edit it at any time. You can add or delete fields for default information, such as phone numbers and email addresses, and you can add fields for additional information, such as a birthday, nickname, spouse’s name, and so on.
If Maps is simply finding the incorrect location for the correct address, you can report that issue directly using the information in the next article.

Your second question about deleting your recents from Maps has a pretty easy answer. You can accomplish this by following the steps in the next article.

Jan 18, 2016 12:54 AM in response to joe_7399by Justin-Isobel,Thank you very much it was very helpful, but I still have a remaining issue.
I do not seem to be able to edit my 'Home' location - as the incorrect location is now stored there. I have even tried to modify etc my Home location in 'Contacts' but also to no avail. Maybe you have some further advice as to how to edit this.
Best Regards, Justin
