error opening iCloud Account Details

I am getting an error message when I try to access my iCloud Account Details on my Mac. I am successfully logged into iCloud, I just can't log into and see my Account Details.


I am running Mac OS X El Capitan (10.11.2).

  • When I go to System Preferences > iCloud, I can see that I am logged into iCloud. (I have no trouble accessing Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Notes, etc.).
  • I then click on the Account Details button, and am prompted to enter my Apple ID password.
  • After I submit my password, I get the following error: "Account Details could not be opened because of an error connecting to iCloud."
  • However, I can successfully go to the iCloud website and the "Manage your Apple ID" website, and login successfully.

I am having the same problem and still have not been able to fix it. Even if I go to Apple ID in the Web, and even if I am able to log in, I still cannot see the details as the site does not go on. It seems as if it is detecting something weird so it does not allow me to see anything.


Bottom-line, I can neither see my Account Details in my Apple Devices nor via Website.


Please help me out here!
