I don't know where you live, but whenever I buy something, tax is added. Usually, if the vendor has a physical presence in the state you live, they will charge sales tax unless you live in a no-sales-tax state.

Thanks for the first link on how to check the balance and yes I seen the $15 under my Apple ID, so once I use with in the $15 limit I won't get a tax charge, correct? I heard of people being charged to their credit card so I don't really know unless I ask.
