PowerBook G4 1.67

I´m trying to boot up a PowerBook G4 1.67 GHz 17" Dual Layer SuperDrive. The issue is that after using the Mac and shut it down if I need to start it again it won't boot. If turned on the next day it will boot ok. The battery is dead so it won´t boot if it´s not plugged to the AC. It doesn´t have the PRAM battery installed since is also dead. I´ve already tried purging the PRAM and resetting the PMU but it still won´t boot up. The OS is Mac OS Leopard 10.5.8. Thanks in advance for any suggestions

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5), 2.5 GHz Core2Duo 4GB RAM 1 TB HD

A dead main battery and a dead PRAM battery are hard to overcome. There is no effective workabout that does not involve replacing one or both.

Good news: your PBG4 is the only version that still has a new PRAM battery available:

Although the replacement is not a trival process, it could help your PB work better. Call OWC (the vendor) and ask them to send you the install instructions before you buy. The link on the battery page does no show how to install it. You need to decide if working with small, delicate parts is in your wheelhouse before ordering.

The same firm still sells replacement main batteries:
