Why does iTunes make me restore my phone when I connect it?

I just purchased a new iPhone 6s. Last night, I set it up through iTunes and all my information, songs, photos, etc. transferred fine. However, when I plugged my phone in today, instead of getting the normal sync screen, I received the same "Welcome to Your New iPhone" screen as when I first set it up the night before. Unsure of how to resolve the issue, I just restored my phone to the same place I restored it to last night when first activating it. My phone restored and turned on just the same, however, when I clicked the phone icon in iTunes, the same "Welcome" page popped up. I've tried to disconnect my phone and restart iTunes, but it did nothing. I'm unsure of how to fix this problem and have yet to find any help from searching online. If anyone knows how to solve this issue, please help!!
