my iMessage on my laptop has been sending from my phone number, but it stopped working and now it's sending from my old email...how do i make it send from my number again?

My laptop iMessage used to send from my phone number and I could send and receive texts/messages on my phone and laptop. All of a sudden, it stopped working. So, I signed in again and now the messages are sending from my old email address. How do I make it send from my phone number again? I can't figure t out.
