Safari won't load webpages while on FaceTime.

I've had this problem for a while, but lately its been really bothering me. Whenever I'm on FaceTime with my girlfriend, Safari will not load webpages. Sometimes it will take 5-10 minutes to load a webpage, other times it will not load them until I hang up on FaceTime-> turn wifi off and then turn wifi back on. I don't know what to do, but its really annoying. Anyone else having this problem?

Before you say its an internet problem, I don't think it can be because my FaceTime connection is flawless when this occurs, no lag/buffering/or loss of video quality.
