Q: My G4 Power Mac M8493 Quicksilver stopped abruptly and won't restart.

I have checked the lithium battery; looks ok.

Unplug and replug everything inside I could.

I took out the board(card) and check for power:

I read power on the 2 reset buttons, but not on

the start button..?

The red light inside doesn't work...

I would appreciate any help.

Hi Elliane,

What voltage did you read on the reset buttons?

I believe no red LED means no 5 volt trickle required for startup.

I believe the voltage was 1.5.
I don't know exactly what you mean by the 5 volt required for startup,
but how can I get that?
Sorry for my not so good english...

I think the PSU is gone, see if you can measure voltages at the connector
