Lost Iphone

Hello,

I got myself into trouble. I lost my brand new sealed Iphone 5 (32gb) at the Heathrow Airport. It is very unfortunate because it supposed to be a gift. Somehow I found in my notes IMEI number of this Iphone. I will never find it for sure but Is there any chance to block it using this IMEI?

Thanks for respond

As the phone was in a sealed box when it was lost, I'm afraid 'Find my Phone', which the above links refer to, could not have been activated.

You should report it to your insurance company and the police. Insurance will not usually be paid without a police report number. As far as I know, with no activation or carrier arrangement there is no way to use the IMEI number to block the phone. Had it a carrier link, you could have got the carrier to record its loss or theft.
