You can install apps if they are available.

There is no MBC app available in my location (UK)

If you have a 2nd gen (as your profile indicates) then you will not be able to add apps. You would then need to see if an app exists on IOS and airplay (if supported) or mirror from computer (native use needs Mac from 2011 or later, OSX 10.8 or later. Older Mac and PC needs 3rd party program like Airparrot)

You cannot install apps on Apple TV

you to can use apple AIRPLAY through your apple and android devices

such as iPhone iPad and android

you can also watch all MBC, Nile, and Rotana

you need to download SHAHID in your iPhone or iPad and AirPlay it with your Apple TV as they do not have an Apple TV App yet.

of course you will need a subscription.
