Photo books

Hi, all my books have disappeared from photos, even the book project I was currently working on.

Please tell me how I can recover the already made photo books

iPhoto '11, iOS 9.2

are you using iCloud Photo Library? Books do not sync between Macs with iCloud Photo Library.

You may have opened an older version of your library, perhaps from a backup frive.

You can see which library is currently open by looking at the Photos > Preferences > General. This panel is showing the path to your current library.

Where is your Photos library stored? Is it on an external drive or in your Pictures folder?

Have your books been created in iPhoto?

Photos does not transfer the books well. It is much better to finish book projects in iPhoto, for books may be migrated as simple albums. See this link: How Photos handles content and metadata from iPhoto and Aperture - Apple Support

Some photo books and calendars, made with themes that are no longer supported in Photos, migrate to Albums.

You can run iPhoto on MacOS X El Capitan, but you need iPhoto 9.6.1.

Did you update to this version?

(See Barney's User Tip: Can't Update iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store)
