Get photos off my iTouch 4 Gen & onto to my iMac

I'm "getting up there" and my short term memory seems to have a flat tire.

I need step-by-step instructions to get photos off my iTouch (4th Gen ) onto to my iMac (Lion) 10.7.5 drive.

I don't fully understand syncing beyond back-ups and dragging podcasts in and out of iTunes folders to move podcasts & audiobooks on/off my iPod and iTouch.

Would some kind soul help with step-by-step instructions on how to get my loaded iTouch photos files off my iTouch and on to my iMac (Lion) hard drive?

I have too many images on the Touch to mail them to myself (unless someone could tell me how to get multiple files into one email on the iTouch?)

Many thanks for the rescue.

Your iPhoto can manage images from any device, usually the Mac's iPhoto or photo application

will ask as soon as you've attached the device to the computer. Unless you've selected iPhoto

to ignore the device when attached.

There is another item, an app that can be used to assist in transfer of images from cameras or

other devices, by the name Image Capture. It can be launched from Go in the Finder, where a

menu option to open the Applications folder appears.

Both of these should have information via the Help Viewer in the OS X.

I'm sure someone who uses these (or other options)

more often than me can suggest shortcuts. 😎
