Q: Macbook pro freezes after connecting to internet

Ive had issues for a while where MB would freeze within 2 mins of start up.

Took it to a repair shop today and had 0 issues.. couldn't get it to freeze if I had to.

I determined that after connecting to internet at home.. the freezing occurs soon after, while either on internet or opening applications. Computer does not freeze at home if I have wifi off.

Any idea?

Other laptops run fine here at home on the internet.. no other issues with any other device other than my MB

Note the time of the next freeze. After rebooting open the Console app in Finder>Applications>Utilities and look for log entries at the time of the freeze. Post suspicious ones here.

Are you able to use an ethernet cable for internet to check if the problem is still there? Turn off wifi and use ethernet to check.

Correct me it I'm wrong in any of this. You cannot connect to internet, ether by wifi or ethernet, without a freeze. Will not boot to safe mode or recovery. You checked the internal hard drive while booted to your system and found no errors? In system disk utility ,you can only verify. At the apple store, no problems found. They connected to their internet? Only by wifi or also ethernet? Have you tried connecting to the internet any place other than home? And, if so, could you without a crash? If you can, go to network for ethernet/ advanced and click renew DHCP lease. You can do the same for airport. In utilities/keychain access/login/passwords. Double click your wifi and click show password. Then inter your admin password. see if the wifi password is correct.

I Will attempt everything you said when I get home..

while at home.. I can operate MacBook with no problem with airport turned off and not connected to Internet. Once Connected through wifi or Ethernet it will freeze after approx 2 mins.

Took to laptop repair shop.. Connected to Internet through wifi and surfed web 15 mins no problem.

TRue.. Can only verify no errors show up

Here is what I have determined..

My laptop + my home internet = freeze

My laptop + other internet = no freeze  - - - I just used my phone as a hotspot and can use internet on laptop no problem at all.

Other laptop+ my internet = no freeze

    Hope someone here can help

The two things that show in the error report are certificates that are stored in your keychain access. If you where to go to utilities, keychain access and click on system and then certificates  You should see com.apple.CSConfigdoymac and com.apple.kerberos.KCG. If you right click on them and scroll. It should say they are not critical. There might also be a red X in there icon. That means they can be deleted. As if they are needed the will come back.

    Here are the 2 I see ..

    com.apple.kerberos.KDC

    com.apple.systemdefault

Both say that they are not trusted.. Should I delete?
