ys I have an iPad mini and I added 15$ to my iTunes account well when I went set up parental control onto the pad early my 15$ vanished, I know I nor my son spent it because that's the other problem I'm having with Apple, iTunes will not let me purchase anything without taking me to my credit card verification first and NO I don't have money in the account n I shouldn't have to put any to b able to redeem my gift cards.... I know there is a way to use my gift cards with out using my account, someone please help me!!

You don't have money in what account ? If you have a debit card (I'm assuming it's a debit card if that is what you mean by 'don't have money in the account') on your account then it has to be a valid card - have you tried logging into the account, not when trying to download something, and seeing if you get the 'none' option so that you can remove the card ?

(If you are a family organiser in family sharing then you can only use a card your purchases, you can't use a balance.)

IIt's a prepaid debit card it's the same card I been having on my iCloud account since I set it up, well about a month ago it told me i had to verify the account with the security code so I did and of course it's declined well now I can't even get free apps the card on my itunes account does not get used ive look into statements n nothing was purchased so I don't understand but I could careless about thAt my problem is not being able to use my iTunes gift cards and the fact that 15$ from one of them just vanished
