Q: Mac Pro (late 2013) no longer detects internal SSD.

How to fix?  I've replaced the drive and cabling to no avail. Help!

I am confused. The late 2013 Mac Pro desktop uses a blade SSD with no cabling.

This is the Mac pro desktop forum.

Does it detect another drive? maybe a bade SSD

I was wondering if anyone would ask about that. Yes, it is a late 2013 Mac Pro. The SSD has been upgraded to a 1 TB OWC Aura. It has a small cable that goes from the SSD to a couple of screws in the upper right hand corner.

Yes the OWC SSD requires additional power.

If you put the original SSD back does that work? If so that points to a problem with the OC SSD. I would call them. They have excellent support.

Still trying to get the original SSD out of the OWC Envoy enclosure since I have managed to mangle the torx screw holes. Going to local Apple Store Sunday to get help with both the Aura and the Envoy. I'll find out then if they are willing help or not.
