Error 3914 and Error 17 alternating, please help!

So, I'm trying to factory reset my iPhone and update to the newest iOS. So I plugged it in, hit "restore" from itunes, and told it to restore to factory defaults and newest iOS. Iphone screen turns into a loading bar, then itunes pops up "Error 3914", and my phone is still stuck as a loading bar.

So I followed This(http://www.howtoisolve.com/how-to-fix-error-3194-in-itunes-step-by-step-solved/) guide on how to solve error 3194, and ended up just adding the single line into my host file, restarted my computer, and tried again. Now, however, I'm getting error 17, which is supposedly caused by having extra lines in the host file.

Without the extra line, I get error 3194, which seems to only be fixed by that extra line. However, that extra line gives me error 17, which can only be fixed by removing that line. See where this gets out of hand? Here is what I have tried:

Googling the errors for over an hour trying to find fixes

Restart Computer

Restart Itunes

Host file with and without the extra lines

iPhone in recovery mode

I've used all 3 USB ports with 3 different cables, so a total of 9 different cable/port configurations.

Uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it.
