Shift-Control-Power key combination that is supposed to put ONLY the display to sleep puts COMPUTER TO SLEEP. How do I fix this?

Shift-Control-Power key combination that is supposed to put ONLY the display to sleep puts COMPUTER TO SLEEP AFTER DISPLAY SLEEPS FOR 1 MINUTE. If I just let the display go to sleep normally (without using the keyboard command) that does not happen.

How can this be fixed, or is it impossible?

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012)

2.6 GHz Intel Core i7

16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB

OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite

I also found this:

OS X Yosemite: Energy Saver preferences

There it says that there is an option to:

Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when the display is off on the Energy Saver part of System Preferences

It says that this selection is supposed to

Select this option if you want your display to sleep and your computer to stay awake.

Yet when I go to the Energy Saver part of System Preferences that option does not exist (whether on battery or using power adapter) in my MacBook Pro.

Why is this?

I really need to know since I often need to download big files for my work and when I tried to put the display to sleep using the keyboard combination my download was screwed up and had to start over.

Would you make a screen shot of Energy Saver so people can see what you are seeing? Make sure you cover any personal information using Preview. Post the screen shot in a Reply using the camera icon or you can drag the screen shot into a reply. Copy and paste doesn't work.

Actually it's Shift+Control+Eject keys that only puts the display to sleep.

Depends on the Macbook Pro model you have. Mine does not have a CD/DVD drive or tray. Here are the specs:

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012)

2.6 GHz Intel Core i7

Thanks for the pictorial. Strange. My late 2012-early 2013 iMac has no drive & my 2008 MBP does have an optical drive. Both use the same key combinations to put only the the display to sleep.

Neither of your screenshots shows Computer Sleep set to "Never." Are you sure the keyboard shortcut isn't working for the display and then the computer itself sleeps after the interval that you have set?

Nope. Just after I posted my initial post at 12:50am and then at 1:27am I restarted my download (with the power supply connected) and left it overnight and it kept downloading (and it is still downloading right now) for 6 hours as I slept, and as you can see from my screen shot my computer sleep option with power supply is under an hour.
