Error 3194 iPhone 4 (two different phones.)

I have two iPhone 4's that I had from softbank years ago that I'm trying to clean out to use as home remotes and other wifi devices.

Not jailbroken, no apple entries in my hosts file, itunes newest version. iTunes downloads the newest update for my phones (7.1.2,) and gives me the error 3194.

iPhone 4, iOS 5, 32GB

See, this is exactly the reason Samsung and other Android companies are winning the phone war. The only solution to Apple problems are return the product or reset the product. 2 weeks and still no help. Does anyone from Apple work on this forum? I'm going to use these phones as objects to throw through the apple stores windows in NYC.

Do you have SoftBank SIM cards in them? The Japanese carriers do not unlock iPhones. If you were ever able to use them on a carrier other than soft bank, they were hacked to unlock them. The error you're getting indicates you are attempting to install the incorrect firmware for the phone, That is a good indication that they were hacked or jailbroken or that the computer you're using has been used to hack/jailbreak an iOS device.
