Can't open .smil files

Hi!

It seems that I can't open these types of files. What I read on the web, in order to open .smil files it is most convenient to use realplayer, which I am using. I've downloaded Realtimes but it's still not woking, it says that it's not correct photo/video file. I've tried to open the file with text editor, just to confirm it's not an empty file I'm trying to open, which it wasn't. I've also tried to copy the video url that I found in the text editor and open it with different programs, still didn't work. How do you open these files?
