Orange Apple watch band discoloration

I wore a new black, not inexpensive sweater and at the end of the day my watch band was discolored to a dark orange where the sweater sleeve touched. Any ideas about what I can use to clean and restore the color?

Hi

Apple's instructions for cleaning your band are:

Wipe down the band with a nonabrasive and lint-free cloth. If needed, you can lightly dampen the cloth with fresh water.
Dry the band thoroughly with a cloth of the same type before re-attaching your band to your watch.

Thank you, I should have said that I tried following the cleaning instructions but that didn't work.
