Q: my 64GB 3G Ipad keeps shutting down.

My older 64GB, 3G, iPad keeps shutting down. sometimes it works for one hour or more, other times, it shuts down every minute or so. Very frustrating. It is old but I can't tell if it is version 1 or 2. It is too old for an update as I tried.
